Message from the Founder
It has been such a fulfilling and fruitful journey for me since the founding of Grace Christian Academy (GCA), a private, not-for-profit, Christian school. God has blessed this small, humble school with much grace and favor. The Academy started in January 2011 as a Primary school with two students and almost grew to the maximum capacity of thirty students in 2015; expanded from Primary Education to Secondary Three in 2018, and in January 2021, the Academy began to operate Secondary 4 to 6, after receiving approval from the Education Bureau in December 2020. Within a decade, God has blessed and transformed the Academy into a “through-train” school from Primary One to Secondary Six. We truly praise the Lord, our God, for giving us this precious opportunity to love and serve all the students who have become a part of the GCA family.
At GCA, we believe that every child is unique and talented in his/her individual way and can be nurtured to his/her full potential. We also believe parents are the main influencer of their children. Therefore, we strive to partner closely with parents to provide a holistic education with our individualized curriculum to meet each child’s individual needs.
Being a non-exam-oriented school, we assess students in every aspect, from physical and intellectual development to emotional and spiritual growth. Instead of gearing towards academic excellence alone, we believe a person with a strong foundation of character is able to overcome life’s challenges and become a mature and more developed person. Therefore, we emphasize on character development and incorporate character building seamlessly into the curriculum, and do not regard it as a subject by itself.
We are convicted to develop children with different individual needs and assist them to assimilate into the community. These children are often misunderstood by the general public, but we are convinced that they are gifted in their own ways. We are confident in our abilities to groom them to their full potential through consistent partnership with their parents.
We believe that our God is a healer, and a miracle worker. He has a perfect plan for each of us, and with our obedience and cooperation, He will lead us to achieve the desires and purposes that He has bestowed in our hearts. Therefore, in addition to educating our students with great enthusiasm and passion, we are also committed to nurturing their personal relationship with Jesus, so that these precious children of God can depend on His divine power and loving grace to heal their past, conquer their present obstacles, and breakthrough into a future with hope, joy, and freedom in Christ! It is also our deepest desire to develop and groom the students to be godly men and women to answer His Call so as to expand His Kingdom.
My earnest prayer for all the students is that they will reach their full potential so that they can live life to the fullest with purpose and self-esteem, and become independent, caring, and responsible citizens, who will contribute to and serve the society.
Love in Christ
